The hotel has all in all 223 rooms- suites and apartments distributed in the main building and the mansion building with wireless Internet. There is a huge terrace facing the Sound. When visiting Helsinore you must naturally visit the castle Kronborg Slot and see the sculpture of the legendary Holger Danske in the casemates of Kronborg. What many people do not know is that Holger Danske in Kronborg is not the original. The genuine Holger Danske stands in bronze in Hotel and Casino Marienlyst only a few kilometres from Kronborg. It was namely the then owner of the hotel who commissioned the statue in 1907 - whereas it was a plaster cast that was placed deep down under the walls of Kronborg. The internationally known hotel at the waterfront was built in 1901 in connection with the wellness centre Cuur- og Badeanstalt. In 1990 the hotel got permission to run a casino. The hotel is one of Denmarks largest conference hotels and has five stars as such. There are 20 bright meeting rooms of which the largest is for 380 persons.
