From the Taupo Airport /TOU/ drive through Taupo town and follow the sign to Acacia Bay. Entering Acacia Bay, second on the right is Mapara Road. After 1km first on left is Gillespie Place. The private driveway to Chalet Eiger is signposted.

Combined with thermal hot springs and adventure activities such as sky diving and bungy jumping, Lake Taupo is a genuinely unique place. The famous Wairakei Golf course and other 3 golf courses make Lake Taupo a golfers paradise. Other activities include trout fishing, watersports, Tongariro National Park, skiing, hiking, hunting, etc.
