Sanden Bjerggaard Hotel

Sanden Bjerggaard has 23 comfortable rooms with shower- toilet- satellite TV and Internet. The style is cozy and with respect for the house and its architecture. A special experience is the romantic rooms each with its own atmosphere and style. Outdoors there are lots of space and fresh air and in the plantation Svinkloev Klitplantage there are signposted walking tours. Mountain bike tours can be arranged in the forest with or without a guide together with climbing and rappelling in the forest- sea kayak paddling with an instructor and riding on Iceland horses. The hotel offers weekend stays- mini holidays- week holidays- holidays with tickets for the amusement park Faarup Sommerland- hiking holidays- biking holidays and golf holidays. The course section includes a plenary room for up to 50 persons and several different seminar rooms with all AV equipment including wireless Internet. Nobody can blame Director Ludvig Elsass that he chose this lovely spot on top of the costal cliffs Lien at the beach Slettestrand for his new summer villa for himself and his wife Sara in 1918. The view over the bay Jammerbugten is excellent and there is every possibility of relaxing- enjoying the grandeur of the nature and winding down in the light and fresh air. Within the recent 5 years the owners have invested considerable amounts in new furniture for the rooms- a new course section and a new restaurant. The whole idea has been that the unique style and atmosphere must be preserved and that the guests should feel welcome and enjoy a nice and homely stay. Baring this history in mind it is easy to understand why the restaurant of the hotel is named Elsass and that the motto of the restaurant is Sea Air and Bright Skies. Every day the restaurant has a gastronomy menu from which you can choose two or three courses and also a good Danish course titled Homely food.
