Built on the ramparts of a 16th century Portuguese fortress, the resort is a part of a larger 73 acre complex overlooking the sea which also includes The Vivanta by Taj Holiday Village. The resort is divided into the main hotel building and the exclusive cottages and villas which are situated on a hillock above the main building.
