This boutique hotel is dedicated to being comfortable and cozy with a very friendly staff and reasonable rates. We are definitely one of the best deals near Union Square and in downtown San Francisco. Just three blocks from Union Square, our reasonably priced hotel*s 118 guest rooms are good sized by boutique hotel standards, yet are still evocative of the era in which it was built. All the rooms have windows with plantation shutters for privacy with either one queen or two comfortable double beds. The decor is cheerfully done in citrus yellows and warm siennas which will make you feel more at home than being in the heart of San Francisco*s downtown shopping and theatre districts.

Meeting / Conference Information
The Hotel Mark Twain is the ideal choice for small meetings or receptions. Our 448 square foot meeting space can comfortably accommodate 15 persons for a dinner party, board room style, classroom style or with a hollow square. The room can hold up to 40 for a flowing reception. The room is exclusively rented to groups staying at the hotel with a minimum of 10 room nights or more. The price of the room rental is based upon a sliding scale of number of room nights. Catering is also available for meetings from our hotel restaurant, Fish & Farm Restaurant and Bar. Additional cuisine types are available from a list of caterers the hotel provides.

Fish & Farm Restaurant and Bar, which is located inside the hotel, serves only extremely fresh, local, organic and sustainable products sourced from as close as possible to 100 miles from our front doors. We only serve sustainably harvested seafood, meats, poultry that are humanely raised, free of non-organic feeds from responsible farms. Fish & Farm offers an Award Winning wine list of 40 world wines under $50 and a limited 'Frank's' list of exclusive wines; all from the best producers in the world. Restaurant is open for dinner only, 5pm to 11pm and closed on Sundays.

BY CAR- From Highway 101 -including from San Francisco International Airport- * Go North on Highway 101 * Take exit I-280 N - Downtown San Francisco * Get off at Sixth Street- a right hand exit * Go forward off the freeway up to Sixth Street - turn right. * When Sixth crosses Market, stay on right side into Taylor. * The hotel is on the left past Ellis Street. From Bay Bridge East Bay- * Cross Bay Bridge * Stay in left lane and exit at Fifth Street * Go slight left onto Harrison Street for one block * Make right turn onto Sixth Street * After Sixth Street crosses Market Street. it becomes Taylor Street. * The hotel is on the left side past Ellis Street
