Den Gamle Kro Hornslet

All the rooms have recently been renovated and they are situated in a separate building. There are only a few km to the amusement park Djurs Sommerland and in Aarhus you will be tempted by the open-air museum Den Gamle by- Tivoli Friheden and the art museum ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum. Moreover 6 golf courses are situated within a radius of 30 km. Den Gamle Kro is situated in the railway town Hornslet on the peninsula Djursland approximately half-way between Aarhus and Ebeltoft. The inn is filled with history and charm. Since 1866 it has provided the setting for both festive occasions and good everyday moments. In the cosy and warm taprooms and banqueting rooms is served good traditional Danish inn food as in the good old days. These inn traditions comprise an inn platter for lunch consisting of 3 cold dishes and a little warm dish and a little dessert. For dinner a roasted plaice and a Wiener Schnitzel. The inn has supplemented the good old inn traditions with a new sports bar where you can see the large sport events on a wide screen the whole summer while quenching your thirst from the bars large selection of drinks. The old inn has banqueting rooms for 10 up to 125 persons. The rooms of the inn are also well suited for meetings and conferences. The location could not be better. You are close to the many temptations of Aarhus and near the new National Park Mols. The Djursland area abounds with castles and manors. Especially Clausholm- Rosenholm and Gammel Estrup are worthwhile visiting.
