Immortalised in Bernadin de Saint Pierres novel Paul et Virginie/ the peninsula is near the site of Le Saint Geran shipwreck. One hour from the airport and 40 minutes from the capital Port Louis.
Mauritius has two seasons/ summer from October to April and winter pleasantly cool and dry from May to September. Either way/ its a perfect year-round destination. The currency is the Mauritian rupee.
