Sextantio Albergo Diffuso Le Grotte della Civita

The hotel Sextantio Le grotte della Civita, encompasses 18 rooms, some of them of outstanding size, and a common area in a rock hewn church. The whole complex is located in the oldest part of the Sassi, "la Civita", overhanging the Gravina torrent, facing the dramatic scenery of the Park of Murgia and its rock hewn churches. A policy of meticulous conservation was perused by the project, with the intent of retaining the original spaces and all the evidence of their use throughout time, from the religious and ritual function to the traces of agrarian and pastoral sustenance. The renovation was carried out utilizing exclusively traditional old materials, from the architectural fittings to the interior furnishings.
