Mahodadhi literally means the great sea, and this palace pays homage to the revered ocean facing the palace. Built by Maharaja Panchkot as his summer palace, this sprawling palace, with an impressive long driveway was his refuge from the harsh summer sun of Panchkot. Set amidst 2.5 acres, the driveway has a quaint stage like round setting before the main entrance, which supposedly was the venue for wrestling and entertainment that could be watched from the two floors above the main building sprawling terraces.
