Hotel Universo

The Universo Hotel is a 15th century building completely refurbished during 2007 and 2008 and offers 41 nice rooms that are all different with some having a splendid view over the square and church. The hotel is located in the heart of Florence in Piazza Santa Maria Novella; just 3 minutes walking distance from the main rail station and a few steps away from the most important attractions including museums; shopping streets; business and congress centre and the exhibition centre. All rooms have bathroom with shower; hairdryer; Satellite television; telephone; air conditioning; heating and a desk. The hotel does not have a private car park however it works with some garages that offer guests a valet service at the daily rate of 32EUR per car. As of 01 July 2011 a City Tax on per person per night basis will be charged which is not included in the total room price and which must be paid in cash at checkout. Additional Information; Children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-10 receive a 50pct reduction. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.
