Kaunas castle is the oldest masonry castle in Lithuania dated back to 14th century. The masonry today is form the later centuries. There are some fragments left from the old castles. The tower now houses the art gallery.

The construction of Kaunas town hall started in 1542. The town hall was used as the premises of the orthodox church ammunition storage residence for Russian czars. Today it is used for the wedding ceremonies official welcome of city guests.
Vytautas Church - The Church Of Taking Holy Virgin
The church was constructed in the 15th century. It is one of the first Gothic brick buildings in Kaunas. During the Napoleonic Wars it was turned into a war ammunition warehouse- later - an Orthodox Church. Currently operating catholic church.
