Medhu Ziyaarath
Directly across from the Old Mosque stands the Medhu Ziyaarath Shrine to Abu Al Barakat, a North African scholar believed to be responsible for converting Maldivians to Islam in 1153.
The Fruit and Vegetables Market
This is the market where islanders from the outer Atolls trade their goods. It is probably one of the most colourful and vibrant places of the tour. Several rare types of vegetables and fruits found at the market may also be of interest.
The Grand Friday Mosque
This is the biggest mosque in the Maldives. This magnificent landmark with its golden dome also houses the Islamic Centre. This building can accommodate 5,000 worshippers at one time and is a popular visitors attraction.
The Minaret-Munnaaru
This white minaret was built by Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar in 1675. The chief muezzin of Male called the faithful to prayer from this minaret before the Islamic Centre was built.
The Old Friday Mosque -Hukuru Miskiiy
A number of ancient tombs and monuments erected for national heroes and members of royalty are found in the compound of the Old Friday Mosque, built in 1656. This historic mosque, built with coral stones, is intricately carved with Arabic writings.
The Public Square -Jumhooree Maiden
This was constructed in 1988 and is now Male*s most popular place for social gatherings and a hangout for children. The official flag of the Maldives here is the largest in the country.

The Resort is a 25-minute speedboat ride from Male International Airport on the island of Hulhule.
