Glenalmond House is an impressive - family run Victorian guest house located in a beautiful part of the city of Edinburgh - There is very easy access to the city centre and all the main tourist attractions by the frequent local bus or on foot - it is just a mile to the Royal Mile - The hotel offers substantial private car parking at no extra charge and we have Wi-Fi internet access for guest use included in the room price - The guest house has been awarded a 4 Star rating by VisitScotland and the rooms and public areas are tastefully decorated in a classic style to complement the age of the house - All bedrooms are en-suite and all have a digital flat screen television with Freeview channels - There are 5 rooms located on the ground floor and a further 5 rooms on the first floor of the building - A variety of room types are available from Single - Double and Twin rooms to Superior rooms with King-size 4-poster beds and Deluxe rooms that offer extra space and facilities such as a King-size 4-poster or Rococco bed - seating area with coffee table - large TV and a fridge in the room - We also have one Family room which can accommodate up to 4 people - Breakfast is included in the room price and we offer an extensive breakfast menu which includes the full Scottish breakfast with haggis - a vegetarian special featuring vegetarian haggis - scrambled egg and Scottish smoked salmon - pancakes and much more - Further services available when you are at the guest house include help with tour bookings - The Edinburgh Shuttle to go to the airport - taxi booking - maps and a variety of tourist information - We are also able to arrange for extra items such as champagne - flowers and-or chocolates that you might like to be in your room on arrival for that special occasion.
