OFFSITE Father Rooster Bar and Grill Within walking distance and right on the beach, you will find the famous Father Rooster Bar and Grill, an old farm house turned into a bar where tourists and residents from Ocotal Beach meet for a very relaxed beach atmosphere and some night life. Excellent food, great music and dancing. Only three miles away is Playas del Coco, a small fishing and tourist village, were you can find a variety of restaurants. How to get:
FROM LIBERIA TO OCOTAL From Liberias airport heading west about 7 minutes drive you will see a Gas Station on your left hand side on the right is the road entrance to Playas del Coco and Ocotal. Take that right. Stay on the main road. You are now driving towards the coast. About 10 kilometers later, you will arrive at a intersection on a hill with many signs, follow the main road and take that hill down into Playas del Coco. When entering Playas del Coco, you will be driving along a boulevard. About 300 yards after the boulevards end, there is a paved road entrance on your left hand side. Take it, it is the entrance to Playa Ocotal. FROM SAN JOSE AIRPORT TO OCOTAL The total distance is 235 kilometers and approximately a three to four hour drive. There are restaurants and gas stations along the way. You will be driving northwest on the Pan-American highway /The same road to Liberia/. There are many signs to Liberia. Stay on the main road.
