Spread over 325 lush acres of tropical forest, the resort is unsurpassed for its natural beauty and is resplendent with native fruit trees, including mango, banana, papaya, coconut, avocado, star fruit, sour sop and hog plum. There are a wide variety of flowering shrubs - hibiscus, jasmine, bougainvillea, and oleander as well as the bright red Flamboyant Tree which attracts tiny iridescent humming birds. The Jalousie Plantation was once the site of an 18th century Sugar Mill Estate, the remains of which are integrated into the resort. The lush and breath taking setting, one of the most dramatic in the world dips down to a quarter-mile stretch of secluded white sand beach.

The Jalousie Plantation offers 5 restaurants and bars, all designed to tempt the palate. The Verandah Terrace is open daily for breakfast in an open air setting. Bayside is a casual, open air restaurant serving light fare for lunch and afternoon snacks. Themed dinner buffets are served on select days during the week. The Pier restaurant offers dramatic ocean views in an upscale setting. Open 5 nights a week for dinner a la carte. Smart dress recommended. The Plantation restaurant offers a more formal dining experience in an air conditioned, elegant setting. The restaurants are complemented by our signature Palm Court Bar, open daily.
