Green Lagoon Resort has been opened in December 2006.The hotel is most exclusive, it caters to a maximum of five parties at a time.Each of the five units consists of an original old Kerala wooden house with one or two rooms, not air-conditioned, built to catch the natural breeze,connected to an air-conditioned stone structure of one or two rooms, a large verandah, and a bath-garden surrounded by walls but open to the sky,a private massage area, and a private swimming pool - of course, you may also swim in the interior lake of the island.Massages , Mudbaths , Yoga.Here, you as a tourist contribute towards preserving the environment and the culture of the local population instead of harming or exploiting them.All buildings have been built with local materials by local craftsmen. Plenty of jobs are secured for the villagers.Each house has a biological septic tank for the waste water - nothing untreated is discharged into the lake.
