Sdr. Omme Kro

The inn has 23 light and recently renovated rooms all of which with bath- toilet and TV. Two of them are suites with room for 6 persons. The prices include 6 hours- Internet connection per day per room. From most of the rooms you have a view over the beautiful garden with a part of the stream Omme Aa. The inn has also a cosy taproom and restaurant with good Danish inn food at reasonable prices. Sdr. Omme Kro is a genuine roadside inn which is situated in the main street in the railway town Sdr. Omme in Central Jutland. Right where the highway crosses the stream Omme Aa there has been an inn for centuries and since 1780 it has been a royally licensed inn. With its length of 72 km Omme Aa is the largest stream that falls into the river Skjern Aa and as a guest in Sdr. Omme Kro you have free fishing rights in the part of the stream running through the inns garden. Sdr. Omme Kro got new hosts in 2010 - and they did not come from far away. They were namely Line and Dean Dam from the local bakery and cafe respectively. Thus they moved only a few houses further down the street when they took over the inn. For Dean Dam it was an old dream that came true. Many years ago his greatest wish was to be apprenticed to the inn as a cook but there were no vacancies - and thus he became a baker instead - however my dream has always been to become a cook. Therefore it was a pleasure to be given the keys for the inn - Dean Dam says. He is responsible for the kitchen whereas Line has the overall responsibility for the inn. The site of the inn makes it an ideal starting point for visits to LEGOLAND and Givskud Zoo but also for a holiday with sporting activities. Besides the stream in the inn garden there are also other fishing possibilities nearby. The inn offers golf holidays in co-operation with 10 different golf courses with varying degrees of difficulty. The inn has a banqueting room for up to 150 persons. The inn has also several other smaller rooms for meetings and conferences.
