Korning Kro

Korning Kro has 22 modern rooms of which 2 rooms are for disabled persons. The rooms can be extended to family rooms and pets are allowed. All rooms have bath- toilet- TV and Internet access. There is plenty of outdoor space for children with lots of energy who wish to play during their holidays. The inn also offers mini holidays and golf holidays and it is known for its party possibilities. The innkeeper Visti Ernstsen is a member of the European chef association Eurotoques committing the inn to make extra efforts - and Korning Kro is indeed famous for its first-class cuisine. The old saying - where there is a church there is an inn - is indeed true for the little village Korning west of Horsens. The beautiful village church was built in the 1100s and in the 1700s the tower got its impressive spire shaped like an onion. Korning Kro was taken over by Dorris and Visti Ernstsen in 1976 and this was the beginning of an impressive development which resulted in a whole new wing with family-friendly rooms and an a la carte restaurant where the guests can taste Visti Ernstsens famous cuisine. He always uses fresh ingredients - both for the traditional Danish courses such as freshly roasted rissoles- Hamburg steaks- old-fashioned roast beef and hash with fried eggs. Some think that the best benefit of location of the inn is that there is a view from the rooms over the fields and meadows. The most delightful experience is to open the windows and listen to the cuckoo which calls and the nightingale which sings in the spring. The location is also ideal for walking tours or if you want to go fishing in the rivers or lakes. If you wish to try something completely different there are only a few km to the motorway to Horsens with Forum Horsens and if you drive a bit further you will easily reach Aarhus and LEGOLAND. Korning Kro has been extended considerably in recent years. There is an informal atmosphere in the inn.
