The Blazing Donkey is only 1 hour from London nestled in beautiful Kent countryside between the historic Cinque Port towns of Sandwich and Deal. Dover, its ferries and the Channel Tunnel are also very near. Originally built as a farm dwelling in 1763 the hotel offers a unique Kentish experience with characteristic charm. The award winning bedrooms are set around a pretty stable-like courtyard offering private access and secure parking. Full room service is available 7am-midnight every day. A dedicated night porter is on duty from midnight-7am in the event of late arrivals and in cases of emergency. The Blazing Donkey is a uniquely versatile venue and is an ideal site for Business Meetings. How to get:
Follow directions for DOVER via A2, M2 or M20. From Dover, take the A256 through Whitfield towards SANDWICH. Pass Tilmanstone village, and turn Left signposted EASTRY. Once in Eastry, turn right into BROOK STREET, signposted to HAM and THE BLAZING DONKEY. We are a half mile up on the left hand side. From Canterbury via Sandwich- Take the A257 towards SANDWICH. Past ASH, turn right at the first roundabout, signposted DOVER and DEAL. At the next roundabout, turn right again signposted EASTRY. 1mile along turn right, opposite turning for WORTH, again signposted Eastry. In Eastry, turn left at Brook St Junction, signposted towards HAM and THE BLAZING DONKEY. The Blazing Donkey is a half mile on the left hand side. Trains run from LONDON to DOVER and SANDWICH every hour. A limousine can be provided by prior arrangement from SANDWICH STATION.
