We are but a short cab or bus ride to Univ. of Penn Drexel campuses, Childrens Hospital at Penn CHUP and Univ of Penn HospitalHome was built in 1854-56 as a Federal townhouse the floorplan was expanded and reworked in 1878 to include a grand staircase crowned by a leaded glass skylight. Formal space on the first floor is used by guests as a palour and dinning room. All the rooms are centered around the grand staircase, which is open as a small atrium through four floors and is flooded with natural light. Most rooms have decorative fireplaces and are furnished with antique furniture and assessories original art works.Home is non-smoking, with central heating and air conditioning. Some rooms have an additional window A C with remote controls. Each room is designed decorated to a theme revolving around Philadelphias history.
