Within a short distance, at the bottom of the cliff lies the port of Amoudi with its taverns, splashing fishing boats and small pebbly beaches. The location is ideal for walks and shopping as it is located very close to the central pedestrian road where most of the shops and restaurants are to be found.
Oia today also boats a cultural centre, a central art gallery and many other Greek art galleries.
