Hotel Ansgar has 52 well-furnished rooms all of which with bath- TV and wireless Internet. You also find a cosy breakfast restaurant and a recently furnished TV lounge. Hotel Ansgar is situated in the centre of Esbjerg. Hotel Ansgar in Skolegade opened its doors for the first time in 1898.
In 1948 the hotel was taken over by the Rasmussen family and in the course of time the rooms were furnished with baths and toilets. The 2nd generation Rasmussen took over the hotel in 1975 and through the years they have carried out a gentle renovation of the historic building.
The philosophy of the hotel is that those who travel a lot would prefer to lie in their own beds. No rooms in the hotel are identical but all rooms have been furnished with a gentle heart and a night in the hotel should be a homely- cosy and privileged experience.
With the location right in the centre of the South-West Jutland capital there is a short walking distance to the sights of the town and only a few minutes drive to the wide beaches of the North Sea- the dune plantations- the woods and a handful of golf courses. In the square of the town there is a nice cafe milieu. Kongensgade - the longest pedestrian street in Denmark - has lots of exciting specialized shops.
