Velona was originally an 11th century fortress. Today, it is an
architecturally stunning hotel with elegant interiors, fine cuisine, a
glorious pool and one of the best panoramas in Tuscany.
There is a tangible sense of history as you wander through this imposing
building where the ambience is welcoming and inviting. The spacious suites
have open fireplaces, vaulted or beamed ceilings and are decorated in rich
fabrics, antiques and colourful rugs. A pretty courtyard bordered by arched
galleries is a delightful spot to enjoy breakfast.
